"KIND words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless."
Saint Theresa of Calcutta
I believe that it is important to remember that every child is unique and possesses a unique set of talents and abilities. As an educator, it my responsibility to help students learn what those God given gifts are and encourage every child to recognize them and develop them.
I believe all children can achieve through application, focus, and the use of multiple strategies. My classroom learning environment is characterized by collaboration as well as independence, mutual support, risk taking, and critical thinking.
Teaching is not limited to content and pedagogy, but understanding children and their differences, building rapport with students and parents and colleagues. Together we can help your children to grow academically, spiritually, and socially.
I was born in Philadelphia and grew up in Delaware County. I attended Catholic Elementary (Sacred Heart in Manoa) and High School (Cardinal O’Hara).
I have had the privilege of working in education for 25 years. My teaching experiences include intermediate grades and middle school. I have taught grades 3 through 8, was an instructional coach, and a curriculum specialist. Being in the classroom with students is what I love most.
I hold a Bachelor's Degree from Saint Joseph University and a Masters Degree from Arizona State University. I am very happy to be part of the middle school team at SATG. It is my honor and privilege to be part of the Saint Albert the Great school staff overall. The collegiality among the faculty and staff is exemplary and serves to provide the best education for our students.
When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family playing games, going to the beach, travelling, reading, gardening, and attending musical plays.
