Sometimes it is GREAT to be in the Middle! There are so many exciting activities and wonderful experiences in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade classrooms!
In Third Grade, both teachers are certified Wilson Language Tutors, we visit St. Joseph's Manor Nursing Home at Christmas, our field trip is to the Philadelphia Zoo, and at the end of the year, we turn our classrooms into a One-Room School House!
In Fourth Grade, the students dive deeper into all content areas. The Claymobile visits for one trimester and the students have creative fun with sculptural hand building projects. Pennsylvania is the focus for most of the year. The students dress as a Famous Pennsylvanian and perform as their person in our Annual Wax Museum. Our trip is to Hershey and Harrisburg. We are so lucky to live in such a wonderful state!
In Fifth Grade, the students move to the upper floor of the school. The students have different teachers for each of their classes and learn so much in each subject area. Our Honors Math Program begins in fifth grade for those students that meet the criteria. Our trip is to Historic Philadelphia. It is a great experience to walk through the history of our country!
